Following The former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, arrival at the Wuse 2 office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in “EFCC I am here” inscribed T-shirt gross of the T-shirt have being reproduced and selling fast in the market.

It could be recalled that Fayose promised to make himself available to the commission after handing over to the new elected governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi which he did in a dramatic by wearing an “EFCC I AM HERE” inscribed T-shirt amidst people doubt that he might run away.

Fayose’s “EFCC I’m Here” T-shirt has been sighted and selling fast in commercial cities like Lagos, Aba, Onitsha, Ikare, Ado Ekiti and some other states in the South East and South South of Nigeria.

Kakaki Newspot’s market survey revealed that a copy of the the T-shirt which has been produced largely in different colors ranging from the original blue color that Fayose wore to black and white is being sold at the rate of N2500 and N3000 by wholesalers and retailers respectively.

However news gathered from social media activities revealed that the reproduction and sales of the Former Governor customized T-shirt is to mock the commission and show solidarity support for Fayose, that it’s time to end impunity and put an end to draconian leadership.

The former Governor who is still at the custody of the Agency was said to have been refused bail after writing his statement on the allegation that some other 10 suspects have indicted him the more.

Fayose’s lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who took three lawyers from his chambers to the EFCC office to secure his bail was rendered unfruitful as his request was turned down by the commission.

Meanwhile some well meaning Nigerians have challenged EFCC on twitter and other social media sites to prove the masses wrong that the Agency is not a government tool to punish oppositions, that since Fayose had written his statement, he should have been granted bail on self recognition like the Angecy did to Babachir Lawal.

Some who are of the opinion that the reproduction of the cloth is a solidarity support for Fayose said they will continue to stand with him that his challenge is citizens action against the brash and illegal use of power. “This is what the ‘EFCC I AM HERE’ campaign means. Let’s reclaim our country and boot out draconian leaders.”

However Fayose media aide, Lere Olayinka has affirmed that the Agency does not have any evidence of corruption to charge his boss to court, which he claimed resulted to his continuous detention without charges.
