Fidelity Bank Plc is set to bring together entrepreneurs, industry experts and other key stakeholders in Lagos to examine strategies for making businesses more competitive and sustainable.

The Lagos edition of the Bank’s Quarterly Business Forum, themed, “Built to Compete: Positioning Lagos Businesses for Sustainable Growth,” will focus on key issues affecting businesses in the state, including access to finance, market expansion, innovation, digital transformation and long-term growth.

According to the Bank, the forum is designed to provide entrepreneurs with practical insights and opportunities to strengthen their businesses in response to the opportunities and challenges in Lagos’ business environment.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Divisional Head, SME Banking, Fidelity Bank Plc, Ugochi E. Osinigwe, said the forum would also enable the Bank to engage directly with entrepreneurs and gain a better understanding of their needs.

Osinigwe said businesses required more than capital to thrive, stressing the importance of knowledge, structure, networks and appropriate strategies in achieving sustainable growth.

“Businesses need more than capital to thrive. They require knowledge, structure, networks and the right strategies to compete and grow sustainably,” she said.

She added that the Quarterly Business Forum was intended to create a platform where entrepreneurs could learn from experienced business leaders, exchange ideas and identify practical opportunities for strengthening their businesses.

The forum builds on Fidelity Bank’s existing SME-focused initiatives, including masterclasses and advisory programmes covering areas such as pricing, digital growth, business structure, trade and market expansion.

The Bank said the Quarterly Business Forum was established as a strategic engagement platform connecting entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers and industry experts to share practical knowledge on business growth, innovation and sustainability.

It added that the initiative forms part of its broader support for small and medium-sized enterprises through financing, capacity building, advisory services and knowledge-sharing platforms.
