The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has honoured a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, Oluwole Folashade, for her distinguished and meritorious service to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation.
Ojajuni gave the commendation during Folashade’s retirement celebration held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, where the award for Great Service to the Nation was presented to her on his behalf by ACP Glory Otonko, Area Commander, X Squad.
The Commissioner praised the retired officer for over three decades of dedicated service, professionalism, integrity and significant contributions to policing.
He particularly acknowledged her service as a former second-in-command of the Police Public Relations Office and as the first female Commander of the Police Monitoring Unit, Ogun State Command.
Ojajuni described Folashade as an exemplary police officer whose career, he said, remained an inspiration to serving personnel.
He said her years of service demonstrated the values of professionalism, dedication and commitment expected of officers entrusted with the responsibility of protecting lives and property.
The Commissioner noted that her contributions to the Force and the wider society had earned her recognition as a worthy ambassador of the Nigeria Police Force.
He commended her for maintaining a distinguished record throughout her career and expressed appreciation for her service to the nation.
The award formed part of activities marking her retirement from the Nigeria Police Force after more than 30 years of service.
