Rite Foods Limited and its Managing Director, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, have received two major honours at the 2026 Marketing Edge Awards held in Lagos.
While Adegunwa was named the Outstanding FMCG Brand Entrepreneur of the Year, Rite Foods was recognised as the Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year.
The company disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying the awards were presented at a ceremony organised by Marketing Edge, a publication focused on Nigeria’s brand and marketing communications industry, on Friday, September 25, 2026.
According to the statement, the event brought together professionals, business executives and stakeholders from the marketing, advertising and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
Adegunwa attributed the recognition to the collective efforts of the company’s employees and its continued commitment to innovation, quality and value creation.
He said the awards reflected Rite Foods’ contribution to the growth of the FMCG sector through initiatives aimed at driving innovation, strengthening brand equity and creating meaningful connections with consumers.

Adegunwa added that the company’s approach to product development and consumer engagement had enabled its brands to compete in an increasingly dynamic market.
Also speaking on the corporate award, the Head, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Ekuma Eze, said the recognition reflected the company’s commitment to delivering quality products that respond to changing consumer preferences.
Eze said the company’s commitment extended beyond product quality to research and development, consumer-focused innovation, environmental sustainability, value creation and the adoption of technology across its operations.
He said, “These recognitions reinforce our belief that sustainable brand leadership is built through consistent investment in quality, innovation and the consumer.
“At Rite Foods, we remain committed to creating products that meet evolving consumer needs while delivering value to our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate.”
The company has continued to expand its product portfolio, with the recent launch of LIDA Malt, further strengthening its presence in Nigeria’s beverage market.
Its portfolio also includes 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, five variants of Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, Bigi Beef Sausage and Bigi Flex Sausage.
Rite Foods said its commitment to responsible business and sustainable manufacturing had also earned it recognition at the 2026 National Sustainability Achievements Awards for contributions to sustainable manufacturing, product innovation, environmental stewardship and responsible corporate leadership.
The latest honours followed Adegunwa’s Industrialist of the Year 2025 award by Vanguard Media Limited, which recognised his leadership, entrepreneurial vision and contribution to the FMCG sector.
The company said the latest recognition further underscored its investment in people, products, innovation and sustainable business practices as it seeks to deepen its presence in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry.
